A young couple's idyllic home life is shattered when one night their home is invaded by intruders and a battle to survive begins.
What could have been a rather standard horror film is saved by the disturbing twist at the end. The directors very neatly tapped into a sinister social fear and as a consequence "Them" does leave you feeling genuinely uneasy.
Refreshingly the film never outstays its welcome and doesn't waste time with unimportant plot points. We know enough about the main characters to care but not so much that they bore us.
A surprisingly good shocker from France.
