American Pie Presents Band Camp Steve Rash 2005 |

After pulling one prank too many Stifler's younger brother is sent to band camp as punishment. While there he's soon back to his old ways and his behaviour soon threatens his schools chances of winning the band camp competition. Can the love of a good woman change his wicked ways? Band Camp is about as funny as haemorrhoids, and not even someone else's haemorrhoids where they have to sit on a little cushion and wince every time they go near a chair; but your own raging roids that haunt you night and day. Tad Hilgenbrink was obviously chosen for his resemblance to Seann William Scott and his ability to mimic his facial contortions, all of which he does well, but frankly is this a life skill I should be praising? The only people from the original American Pie are Chris Owen and Eugene Levy, both obviously have no shame but Levy is old enough to know better. I really can't think of any redeeming feature contained within this poor effort, Jason Earles did however make a sweet geek, but geek's are not enough to save this. Now I knew I wasn't going to get Citizen Kane but I wasn't quite prepared for this, the lowest common denominator of humour. At no point does subtlety creep its way into the script. The jokes are so obvious you can set up a list and tick them off as you go. If I were to recommend this film to anyone, even people with no discernable taste I'm sure I would be breaking a law of some kind. Dire, dire, dire.
